tHAnKSgivING!

WE HAD A GREAT THANKSGIVING. IT WAS NICE AND EASY! EVERY YEAR WE SWITCH OFF WITH EACHOTHERS FAMILIES. LAST YEAR WE WERE WITH MY FAMILY SO THIS YEAR WE SPENT IT WITH BRENT'S FAMILY. DINNER WAS EXCELLENT! GRANDMA TERRIE MAKES A GREAT TURKEY AND STUFFING DINNER. LESLIE MADE A GREAT GREEN BEAN CASAROLE ALSO. GRANDMA ALWAYS TAKES THE TIME TO TEACH THE GIRLS HOW TO MAKE ROUND-THE-FINGER ROLLS! FIRST YOU LAY OUT THE DOUGH, THEN SPREAD IT WITH CRISCO, THEN FOLD AND SPREAD, REPEATED 3 TIMES! THEN YOU TAKE A STRIP OF DOUGH AND ROLL IT AROUND YOU FINGER AND DIP IT IN BUTTER! YES, ANOTHER DIP INTO GREASE! THE FINISHED PRODUCT IS THE BEST ROLL YOU HAVE EVER EATEN! THIS YEAR I WANTED TO TELL EVERYONE HOW THANKFUL I WAS FOR THEM AND I HAD THE IDEA TO MAKE THANK YOU BOXES. EVERYONE WOULD WRITE A LITTLE THANK YOU TO EACH MEMBER OF THE FAMILY! IT WAS SO NEAT! EVERYONE TOOK THE TIME TO WRITE WHY THEY WERE THANKFUL FOR EACH MEMBER OF THE FAMILY. IN THE END WE HAD ABOUT 24'S THANKS YOU'S IN EACH FAMILY BOX. WE READ OURS FOR FAMILY HOME EVENING AND IT WAS REALLY SPECIAL TO HEAR A SWEET THANK YOU'S FROM EACH MEMBER OF THE FAMILY. WE WILL CHERISH IT FOREVER. AUNT LESLIE ALSO HAD OREO COOKIE TURKEY'S FOR THE KIDS TO MAKE! THEY WERE SO CUTE. NOW WE LOOK FORWARD TO CHRISTMAS! (IT'S ON IT'S WAY FAST!)

Busy, Busy Days!

I know, I know it has been so long since I have posted. It seems the last few weeks have been soooo crazy! Grandma and Grandpa Johnson had their anual "Fall-A-Sleep-Over" the kids had a great time and loved the prayer rocks and rockin' pj's they got! Brent and I took advantage of the night alone and we went out on the town! We went the see the show KA at the MGM. We went with our friends Sam and Vince. It was really good! Afterall, I love that kind of stuff! We enjoyed the night out together. Then...done, done, done... we came home and found our house was covered in toilet paper and saran wrap! We have a good idea of who did it and all Brent said was, "Whoever did this knows the scout 10 fold rule!" Which means, "Don't do anything to another scout unless your willing to get it back 10 fold!" So watch out! We never forget! We'll get you when you least expect it!

Trick~0~Treat

Halloween was a lot of fun this year! Olivia had her 5ht birthday and is so proud to finally be 5 years old. We went to eat with the family and Livvy opened some presents. It was to fun to see all the cousins in their costumes! Zane was not sure if he wanted to dress up this year. He waited until the last minute to decide. Then he decided he could not be anything silly and just wanted to be a goblin! Megan was a very cute Dorothy form the Wizard of Oz and Olivia was a darling Little Red Riding Hood! Of course I was a witch as always! Now Halloween is over and time to move on the Thanksgiving and Christmas! A wonderful time of year!

Winter Moon

It's Olivia's birthday month! She is getting so big. She loves her pre-school class and looks forward to it every week. Tonight when we looked in the sky we saw a big full moon. For those of you who don't know, Livvy is our Winter Moon(it is an indian name that her grandpa Bulloch gave her). She noticed how big and bright it was. I reminded her that is why she was named Winter Moon. It is big and bright and gives light in the dark. She looks for herself in the sky all the time. She was also born in October, when we usually notice a full moon! She loves Halloween and is excited for her birthday.

Johnson Family Disneyland Vacation

We have been home a couple weeks now from out Disneyland trip. We had a blast as always! We always look forward to the cooler weather so we can go, although it was very warm when we were gone! We spent 4 days in Disneyland. Livvy was so brave, she finally went on "most" of the big rides. She went on Space Mtn, Big Thunder Mtn, even the Grizzly water ride in the California park. We could not get her to do Splash Mtn! Maybe next time! It is great that everyone is big enough to go together. No one has to wait behind! We are enjoying our kids so much as they get older! Anyway, it was so much fun spending time with all the family.

Boys Day Out

They "guys" took a trip to California to see a Yankees vs. Angels game (no girls allowed). They had a great time. After the game they stopped by Knotts Berry Farm to have a good ole' chicken dinner. It was a quick trip, just there and back in one day. We are looking forward to our trip to Disneyland in a couple weeks. Good times!

First Day of Pre-School

Livvy has been waiting and waiting for school to start! She is not starting kindergarten for another year but she is just as excited to go to Mrs. Whitney's pre-school class! Here she is all ready for her first day! My niece Suzie is so cute, she was excited for Livvy's first day too!

WEBLOS

Zane is doing so good in scouts. He just earned his WEBLOS badge. We are so proud of him! He can't wait until his birthday and then he will be moving on the the 11 year old scouts. He wants to go on camp-outs and all the big boy stuff! Way to go Zane keep up the good work! We love you!

Visiting!

Relaxing on the couch with grandpa!
Grandma and the girls!

Grandma and grandpa were down for a quick visit. They stopped in on their way to Minnesota. Carolyn and Craig have been there for the summer and are on their way home. Grandma and grandpa are going to drive one of their cars home for them. They are planning to visit some church history sites on the way back home. Happy drivin'!

Makin' Cookies!

Megan is our little baker. I always looked forward to the day when I could tell my kids to go make ME some cookies! Well the time has come! Megan can make chocolate chip cookies ALL BY HERSELF! ( I just help her turn on the oven and sometimes get them out!) She gets all the ingredients out and reads the instructions and away she goes. She does a great job and the cookies are delicious!

Cashin' In

Cashin in the silver dollar! Humm, what should I get?
Good times with gramma and poppy!
Yummmmm!

It was Zane's turn to cash in his dinner dollar! He had a great time with gramma and poppy. He picked to go to Black Angus for dinner. Zane is always up for a good steak! It looks like they had a great time. Especially poppy when the it came time for the dessert! Good times!
