CHAMPIONS!

Happy Fathers Day to the BEST dad ever! Brent has is such a great dad and we feel so lucky! He has been very busy with work and church and still found time to coach Zane's baseball team! He is such a wonderful coach and because of him our team did great! We lost the first game of our baseball tournament, if we lost again we would have been out of it! Well, we had to play every night and we won every game in order to stay in it! The boys on our team really pulled together! We made it to the championship game on Saturday! We had to play a double-header ( in 110 degrees) and win both games! WE DID IT! WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS! Zane was also selected to play on the ALLSTAR team! Brent was also asked to help coach the allstar team! Both Zane and Brent are truly ALLSTARS for sure! We love you dad!

Carson City or Bust!

The 4th graders at Zane's school are studying Nevada history. They had the opportunity to go to Carson City on a field trip. I had the chance to go as a chaperone! They had a great time! We are proud of him he has earned his Nevada Citizenship Award also. We got up early in the morning and flew to Carson City. We visited the Nevada History Museum and then the State Capitol building. We got to go in the Governor's office and sit on his couch! We also went in the State Assembly building. It was really cool to see! Next we got on a bus and went to Virginia City! We got to ride the VT train and see a gun show! Then we went to a real gold mine. We got to see how they get the gold out of the ore! Then we saw an old school that was turned into a museum. It was 3 stories high. A very nice school for it's time. Everything in the school as original form the 1800's, we could see markings in the desks from the old ink pens! It was a long day but well worth it! Then we flew home!
